On Tuesday, a person was fortunate and escaped the tractor-trailer accident with only minor injuries.
After a tractor-trailer rubber allegedly went through the glass of another vehicle, the Dootlittle Rural Fire Protection District responded to the 182 mile marker of southbound Interstate 44.
First responders arrived at the scene at 2:52 p.m. and discovered a lost wheel on a western tractor-trailer.
In the northbound lanes, it struck a woman’s car in Newburg, Missouri, through the middle.
The girl was struck in the head by the shoe that had blown through her glass.
She was thankfully transported to Phelps Health with only slight wounds.
